    The 6th Annual BYC Easter Hatch-a-long!

    I put 7 blue ameraucana eggs in my Brinsea mini advance, due to hatch the day before Easter.

    I set 7 eggs for the Easter "Hatch-A-Longs" I am hatching blue ameraucana. This is my first time doing this, and my second hatch! What if they hatch on Easter morning? ??

    I have four Welsummers in my flock. So far they have been very sweet. All of them get along with the other breeds too. It was difficult to find them from a breeder this year. All of my girls have been sweet since small chicks. I would breed these girls, so pretty.

    The picture is of a Gold Laced. They have a good record for the amount of eggs they lay. But stress, among other things could reduce that. The first year they lay almost daily.

    I have gold laced wyandottes and they are in with welsummers. Extremely friendly too. They all get along well. I will be free ranging them with my others. 7 breeds so far.

    I Love my barred rocks. That makes no sense at all. I don't know of anyone saying bad things about them.

    I would be very interested. Also I ordered lavender Ameraucana chicks for April. I will probably have more than I need. I have barred rocks, Aussies, and ameraucana. Looking for a couple welsummer pullets.

    I love my barred rocks! I have 6 hens, and they did mature at 5 months. But when the weather is cold, they stop for a while. I give them extra protein, and calcium if they were laying. It seems to help them get with it again. The eggs are wonderful.
