That's normal behavior, at that age they should be ok together. I just yesterday introduced 11 8-week olds to my three older girls, (with much worry on my part) there have been some "normal" pecking and chasing but no blood drawn woohoo! 24 hours later they are still ok. Yours should be fine.
I have two 5 week olds, are they old enough to go outside yet? It's supposed to be in the mid 40's-50 at night for the next couple of weeks. They are finally starting to get wing feathers.
I basically just nailed them together, used 2x4's for the roof. I can't remember specifically I watched several YouTube videos and Pinterest too and sort of did my own thing.
I'm going to attempt to add a picture of my coop here. I build it mostly by myself and I'm a girl lol! YouTube was very helpful as well as this site. I used pallets and wood from an old roof that my ex helped disassemble and gave me the wood. I purchased some 2x4's and hardware.
The hardware cloth will go over areas on the coop that have chicken wire temporarily. The only areas I will keep the chicken wire is over the run. I had problems before with chicken wire and found out how useless it is.
Yeah the ones I have are similar. Exception is that they have ports on each side and are made to use tubing from your water source to and between each cup. I didn't set them up since winter was coming because I was worried about the water freezing in the cups. Has that been a problem? I plan to...
Does anyone use those little watering cups? If so do you like them? I bought some last fall but haven't used them, just wondering if they will be of any use.
