    How many nesting boxes are suitable for this amount of birds?

    I have nine hens and three nesting boxes and all nine use the same nesting box! (Very very rarely will I find an egg and one of the other boxes). My point is you certainly don’t need one box per chicken, I think you’d be fine with two or three boxes.

    when to free range new hens

    I have one older hen and have introduced 6 pullets. they have spent two nights in the coop. should I keep them in a few more days before I let them free range a bit? I have always heard to keep them in for "a few days"... but is that 2ish or more?

    Need help!! Lethargic hen , I don’t know what’s wrong.

    I am having the same problem! Any responses? I have done two baths.. she’s in a dark area with food and water (and calcium bicarbonate mixed with some breadcrumbs... I don’t have tums!) ... I don’t feel an egg..what else?
