Day 12 of incubation temp outside 28 degrees and electricity was off for 4.5 hours and thermometers showed 48 degrees in incubator before lights came on. My question is there a chance any will hatch? Or would it be best to start over.
I have a broody hen and I put six eggs under her and it is day 19 and there is an awful smell coming from the brooder pen. I think one or more eggs have gone bad. Is there some way I can check to see if the eggs are still good.

This is a Easter Chicken given to me and I have no idea as to the breed. Any info on it would be appreciated. It is around 4 months old. He or she reminds me of the Road Runner on Cartoon Channel.

Today is day 21 and when I left this morning I had 2 peepers and when I got home 9 hrs later I had 5 chicks and 3 more peepers. Expecting more tonight. I have Marans and EE here are 3 of them.
