    I know this is old but I'm currently fighting this fight in Indianola, IA. The ordinance they are trying to pass is ridiculous. Chickens can leave their run? We have to pay a permit so they can tell us what we can and cannot do and for Inspections. I'm livid.

    Can you please tell me I have 2 hens and one rooster? 8 weeks old. If I have 2 or 3 roosters im giving up. Can't have roosters in town. I just had to give my baby up bc he was a rooster and I'm heartbroken. I just want two hens. They are BLRW. Thank you.

    So I didn't expect to become a chicken mom but here I am. I had a couple years ago and have always wanted more. A friend of the bfs had only 1 survive and didn't know what he was going to do with it so of course I took her(?)! Sad part is I believe she's a he and I cannot have roosters in town...
