Buff Orpingtons - Pullet or Cockerel?

Haha, good eye! The Sussex is definitely a cockerel! Out of 9 straight run, we got 8 cockerels 🤪 Thinking the blue laced red Wyandotte is male too (or at least seems to be the census)🤦🏼‍♀️

Buff Orpingtons - Pullet or Cockerel?

Can anyone tell me what sex my two 13 week Buff Orpingtons are? Very early on I thought one was for sure a cockerel and one was a possibly a pullet, that might have just been wishful hoping. Now I’m thinking they’re both cockerels.

    Cream Legbar Pullet or Cockerel

My family and I got day old chicks from a local hatchery back in August. We paid for what was supposed to be a Cream Legbar pullet chick, and we’re told it was a KNOWN pullet because they’re auto-sexing. Well, Patty started looking suspicious right out of the gate with large, bright comb &...

8 Week Old Easter Egger pullet or cockerel?

Any input on our silkie? We think cockerel with the way he’s frequently sparring with the porcelain D’Uccle cockerel 😂

8 Week Old Easter Egger pullet or cockerel?

Haha, the blue Cochin made himself well known early on and has already, begun practicing his vocals this past week. We also had pretty early suspicions about the BLRW, but were holding out hope that maybe we were wrong.

8 Week Old Easter Egger pullet or cockerel?

We have an 8 week old blue EE straight run that has quickly become our favorite. I was so hoping it would be a pullet, but am starting to wonder the older it gets if it’s not a cockerel. I know it may be too soon to tell, but any guess on where it is a pullet or cockerel?

4-5 week old Straight runs, pullet or cockerel?

Thanks, that is what I was thinking! Pic #2 was actually an accidental upload, that one is actually a pullet, lol.

4-5 week old Straight runs, pullet or cockerel?

We have several 4-5 week old straight runs of various breeds that we think are looking an awful lot like cockerels. I know it might be too soon to tell before the hackle feathers come in, but we are anxious to know so we can start finding homes in the event there end up being too many. There are...

    Help with splayed/straddled leg chick!

We hatched this little guy two days ago and noticed he couldn’t walk. I have tried bracing the legs but it doesn’t seem to be making any improvement. We started with the hair tie straw brace which kept sliding off. So then I tried using koban on the legs & bandaids on the feet because I noticed...

What breed is our mystery chicken?

Hello, We bought a few chicks from TSC last week, all were supposed to be barred rock. We got home & discovered one was definitely not a barred rock. When we went back to ask what other breed was in the same pen and were told silver laced Wyandotte (but they didn’t really seem very confident)...
