Ok thank you. So you don't think the issue with the chicken is necessarily because it's a he? That is actually the dominant chook of the bunch and the one who would likely have bossed him/her around. Oh I hope it's a female! Thanks for your reply. -

Hello! Wondering if anyone has any ideas about the sex of my Muscovy. I only have one so can't compare the size to others. He/she is approx 4 months old, to me looks huge- I can't imagine if a drake being larger than it if it's a female. It doesn't hiss, just makes squeaking sounds like a baby... -

eeek I certainly don't want that, Howard sounds like a bit of a handful! I started out with three eggs but two died. Thank you for the replies! should it be chirping and pecking inside the egg so early? The man I got the egg from said if it's doing that it should be out of the egg within about 24 hours, which is why I was panicking but it's only been 31 days so yep I need to just calm down and wait.
