Lots of snow!! More than four inches (6?) but again this year, the ground isn’t frozen!!! I’m northwest of Duluth, Southeast of Hibbing. last year the ground didn’t freeze and I was able to save the fig trees I forgot outside all winter!!!! Good Morning al! I was wondering if anyone has been to the winger livestock auction house? I’m looking at going on the 5th for their anniversary sale, but don’t know anything about it. Is it nice? We just put electric up last month. I’ve had the set up stuff for years, but never put it up. The DH took up the challenge himself, and I found out I have such strong childhood memories, I get a cold sweat just standing next to it! Lol, I know I’m a weird one ! Who’s afraid of a fence 😂- lmatvey

Wow, that was like reading my week!! Lol, twins! Only I have something feasting on my ripe tomatoes..... only the 100 percent ripe, the 99% ripe are left intact, so those are the ones I’m bringing in!- lmatvey

Also I’ve heard that northern MN has more in common with Michigan’s UP than “The cities“, or southern Michigan and there was once (many years ago) talk of making a new state from the two northern areas 😋- lmatvey

[ so about those onions, yes to loose soil and good fertility, choosing a variety that grows large, like Vidalia, or Alisa Craig, Or Walla Walla. Watering has to be CONSISTENT!
