Egg with development but no air sack!

Tiny Tim was the last to hatch. The last 2 eggs died. I just discovered today that my little Timmy is a girl. She loves to hang out and talk to the dogs. We really aren't too worried about her socializing with the other chickens as of right now.

Egg with development but no air sack!

This is tiny Tim, the chick from the egg in question. He is smaller than the rest of the chicks and is staying with us instead of going with the other 6. He is very affectionate and doesn't like to be alone when there is anyone around. He is going to be the most spoiled bird in the flock.

Egg with development but no air sack!

It hatched!!! More than a day later, but we have a little black chick. After starting with 12 and culling 2 that stopped developing before day 18, we had 8 hatch, though one didn't make it. Last 2 eggs are still in the incubator, so maybe we'll have a couple more late ones

Egg with development but no air sack!

There is an air sack! It is smaller than the ones in the other eggs, but it is there! Very strong veining in it as well. I did my day 10 candle and all 12 eggs had development, which blows my mind, especially since there were 2 that I couldn't see anything in on day 6.

Egg with development but no air sack!

I tried to put it on its side, but the shape of the cups was where it was going to roll off. The embryo looks to be developing right where the air sack should be, but since it is only day 6, it may just be slow to develop. I'll check it again on day 10. Fingers crossed it is still going strong...

Egg with development but no air sack!

My incubator has an automatic turner, so there isn't a place to lay it flat. Right now it is positioned where the embryo is at the top. Fingers crossed an air sack develops. If not, I might cry. It has the best development of all the eggs

Egg with development but no air sack!

This is only the second time I've set eggs, so this is all new to me. Today is day 6 of a dozen I set. I decided to candle them just to take a peak and freaked out when I couldn't find an air sack in one of the eggs but it had very good development (distinct veins and embryo). The problem is the...
