    Caldwells Yams are not true Japanese Yams. Her Yams resemble true Jap. Ko shamo, and her Ko shamo resemble "American" Ko Shamo, standard wise. I have bought her "Yams" in the past, and they 100% are not Yams. But they are great Ko Shamo:)

    It can be a hit or miss, but generally if you have them mixed with other breeds and free ranging, they are fine. If you coop them up together, they are guaranteed to bully the other chickens.     Hey! Sorry, it's been a minute since I've checked on this thread. My hens went broody which lead to about a month of no eggs. We are now back on track and have even added some new bloodlines since then. :)

GFF was offering what they called Yams, but were not true Yams, at best they were Ko x Yam-Gun, though I have heard that they mixed Asil in there.
