    Chicks’ first mealworms

Mine love them as chicks, but once they saw live bugs forget it. I tried love mealworms and Crickets Were Still The Favorite. It will be interesting to see if they change their minds in winter.

Is he a he or she?

Thanks everyone, this is has red i the comb. It's not as big as the other two, yet bigger and redder than the girl. So we were watching and guessing.

    What breed is she?

Thanks everyone, in the second photo she appears to have spots on her chest, that is dirt. She could be a mix of anything being with the Asians, I just took a chance on the brilliant minds here.

    What breed is she?

We thought Lavender, because she looks so much like the pictures we have researched. I picked her at the time because she looked like she did not belong and I worried about her. Either way, she is a sweet girl. Thanks everyone! I will share more as she grows.

Is he a he or she?

We purchased straight run Rhode Island reds 8 weeks ago. I am certain two are male and one is female. This one has my husband and I torn. I say too he sees a hen. Can you help us? In the phot with two we are looking at the closest. This one also challenges the two males every chance it gets.

    What breed is she?

We got sweet Lola from TSC in with Asian Blues. Clearly she is something else. She had light gray feathers on her head that do not show well in photos. Gray feet and is so sweet. She is about the size of the Asians. Thanks!

    Asian blue

We bought four from TSC in Sept. Three females are black with a tinge of white on each of them. One is all white with grey feathers in her head. Feet coloring is different. I think she is a different breed? I will get pictures soon. They love the Rhode Island reds we got at the same time.
