    All (just these three) zipped and out in a few hours this morning GMT. Nothing from the others though.. How long do people leave their chicks in the incubator?

    I have a couple of external pips.. felt confident with 8 eggs going into lockdown but dont think everyone will hatch now, just a feeling!

    Thanks. Makes sense. Its a small incubator so strange to have cold spots but perfectly possible. It did cross my mind. Would you continue to turn those eggs for few extra days jut to help them along? Just measured outside humidity and it was around 20... measuring inside the incubator now...

    I dont have any photos unfortunately. I am on my own and difficult to candle and take a photo. I have just had another look and some look much better than two days ago, filling the whole egg bar air sack. But 2 eggs seem much further behind other eggs, smaller chick in egg and smaller airsack...

    I am currently day 18 with this incubator and I have 9 eggs from 12 going into lockdown...

    I am not sure, I have jut followed the instructions, filling one of the reservoirs at all times. Its in a kitchen/living room with lots of plants and its been warm. I probably could have done a dry incubation... I will try the egg boxes.

    So I am down to 9 eggs for lockdown. I think my humidity has been a bit high and the airsacks are not as big as they should be.. Has anyone stopped the egg turning and left the eggs in an upright position.. so when they break into the air cell they dont get flooded with fluid? Or lay them down...

    Late to the game.. Day 14 for me. I set them on the 1st March. I have 3 Coronation Sussex, 3 Cuckoo Marans, 2 Wellsummers and 4 mixes from my garden (Swedish Flower hen boy)

    I am interested to know what you did? Do you have chicks? I would have left her in her original next box and kept the leghorn out.
