    Sorry to hear this! I fasten mine up each night in the coop, and their run has concrete wire around the run so that nothing can dig under.

    I buy the food for laying hens that has the oyster shell in it, plus I give them eggshells that are broken up. They love them.

    Is my Rhode Island White a rooster?

    They look like all hens to me. Two of my hens have red comb and the other two have shorter combs and are lighter. Mine were sexed, look like yours, all hens.

    I got my first egg today, so excited, I have four leghorns and one of them laid an egg. I knew it was getting close to time for them to start laying. Now I will check the nest everyday. Got them July 7, and they were two weeks old.

    They are all hens, they love a hanging cabbage in their run.
