For the last 3-4 weeks that she slept inside I would put her out side in a pen next to the others. They could see each other and 'talk' through the fence. She even got into some fights with another hen, but won.
Once I plopped her in with the flock, no one seemed to care.
Good luck. Glad your...
Just an up date and for those that are finding the pictures helpful for tending to their injured chickens.
I was away for week 4 after the attack so I don't have any pictures.
Here is a picture at 5 weeks.
I'm not sure why the feathers that were growing back are now gone. It...
That could work. I have a couple. When I tried to use them a couple years ago some of the hens freaked out. Haven't tried again, but haven't needed to.

I don't think it smells and will double check tonight...
Thank you. I'm hoping it is nothing serious.
I realized I forgot to add a detail.
On the second day I used antibiotic ointment that has pain relief (Pramoxine HCL), before I found out it was harmful to chickens. I'm hoping I didn't cause her more damage.

This is my first post, though I have been learning a lot from all of you for the last few years. Thank you.
Last Tuesday evening we had a strange dog attack. One pullet dead and one adult chicken with a huge patch of skin missing from her back and puncture wounds (see photos)...
