    I have 3 year-old blue Ameraucanas I bought from a breeder — a rooster and 2 hens. From December to mid-March they laid no eggs. Finally the 2 hens began laying pretty, blue eggs every other day. The rooster isn’t great; he’s mean to my 18 hens. I may end up selling him.

    What type of predator apron? We have badgers, unfortunately, so I guess we need to dig down 12” and put hardware cloth horizontally and vertically. Haven’t built our coop yet.
