    Choosing not candle.

    Being new to incubating chickens, I did not candle any of first batch8 out of 11 hatched. 7 have survived. Only loss was a drowned chick. I have a batch on now and did not candle. When I start smelling bad eggs I locate and pull the stinky eggs out. What are thought golf long term success...

    Extremely large egg

    7 months.. I found out after I posted, was manually turning eggs and one slipped out of my hand, and of course the large egg was the egg that got cracked. Was a double yolk egg. For future reference will double yolk eggs hatch or should it just go in the refrigerator next time. Thanks for advice.

    The egg on the left is a duck egg. My ducks can not get into where hens lay eggs. Only egg I have gotten this size. Is real light but not white. Any ideas. Can drake get ahold of hen possibly?
