I’m late, but my baby crossed the Rainbow Bridge 😭💔

I'm so sorry. I just lost one of my girls. I know how it feels, but it seems like you two were even closer than I am with my chickens. Best of luck in your recovery 💗

I'm really sad, and need a little support.

One of my sweet girls was killed. I don't know if I missed the headcount night before last or if she was taken during the day. Each option presents its own, different problem. It was my blue sapphire, she was beautiful and one of my sweetest. I understand the circle of life, but I REALLY hate it.

I know they're not chickens, but I thought you all might enjoy.

Freshly hatched coturnix quail. Be still my heart <3

11 week old Welsummer, sexed as "pullet".

Trying to convince my husband of that! People were saying that store bought eggs are often "fertile".

I hope so! I had to find new homes for 2 of my bantams who ended up being boys. But my husband says if he's handsome enough maybe we won't rehome him. We just aren't wanting fertilized eggs.

I got chickens about 5 months ago. I have 13. I've always loved birds, and unsurprisingly, chickens are no different. People often think chickens are cold or aloof, but they are sweet and full of personality. I also have 3 Nigerian dwarf goats who are about 3 months old. And 3 turkeys who are...

I'm really thinking it's a cockerel though. I'm sad because "he's" the only other chicken raised with my sweet Betty Flight and I don't want her to be alienated from everybody in the flock. At least right now she has 1 friend.
