    Ya I’ve been decreasing the temp each week as they grow, I just wasn’t sure when to stop decreasing and just take it away all together! And that’s what I figured but just wanted to verify that I wasn’t crazy in assuming something Thank you so much!

    Alright friends I have another question, how old should my chicks be when I get rid of the heat lamp, and how old do they have to be to put them outside?

    Dying or sleeping

    Typically she continues to run around a little bit before going back to sleep, she might eat a little or get a drink or peck around. Sometimes she will go back to sleep fairly quick though.

    This is my first time owning chicks/chickens by myself! So I am sure I will have LOTS of questions and concerns and probably some ridiculous sounding things to ask and worry about. So, I’m hoping you all will help me along this interesting, rewarding and slightly chaotic journey!

    Dying or sleeping

    My chick also tends to sleep a lot. She’s eating and drinking good. I have vitamins and electrolytes in their food/water. I check her for pasty butt. She gets up and moves around easily, when I tap her she moves around fine. She just seems to sleep a lot. Is that normal? I have another chick...
