    Is this a Sagitta?

Thanks! So the the black markings on these early feathers might not necessarily be present on her feathers as she grows into a full grown hen?

    Is this a Sagitta?

Tractor supply. We have been keeping hens for a few years but we always bought them from local farms as full grown hens. My daughter really wanted chicks this year since she has been doing most of the hen keeping work. She has been researching and we can’t seem to find Sagitta chicks or hens...

    Is this a Sagitta?

This chick is supposedly a Sagitta but curious what you guys think. I don’t have experience with breed but the markings don’t seem like a match. Any thoughts?

New Hen added to Flock of 4.. advice needed

Hi! I have been reading for DAYS about flock integration but my plans kind of got derailed and am in a situation where new hen panics if not in same run as other hens. Don't want to take steps backwards.... here is the situation. All 5 hens have come from the same flock. We got the first four a...

Wow!!! Well yes apparently I should have researched better before doing all of that work. Geeesh. I really focused on the importance of the coop being secure and didn't pay enough attention to the run. It's on my list now to reinforce/replace. Thanks so much for the heads up.

So the brown was is probably the EE. I believe she is the one that laid an ALMOST white egg that had just the slightest hint of Blue. :)

Ok, thanks. The woman's home was right around the corner. They were free range there. My neighbor friend has 4 hens and uses the same wire (without even a frame) and their run is quite far from their house and they have had the hens for over a year and no problems. So here I thought I made a...

Hi, thanks! The photos show their run, which is right by my house so i figure they are safe during the day. Their coop for overnight is full wood enclosure and secure.

Bummer. That seems about right though. She had a lot of different kinds all free ranging together so that makes sense. My girls lay eggs and are sweet so I guess that's all that matters. I will be more careful who I get them from next time though since I like the opportunity to look up...

Hey all, new to chickens here. Just got these ladies last week. What I was told they are and what I believe they are from my own research are different, I am curious as to what you all think these ladies are! I think black and white is a silver Laced Wyandotte (which is in fact what I was told...
