    I have a barnevelder chick that hatched nearly 48 hours ago ... it took a very long time to hatch and in the end I assisted it (I'd lost another earlier in the hatching so actually helped 5 out of 7). From when it pipped, to me getting it out of its shell was about 40 hours, it had absorbed...

    *sigh* at 21 weeks we have CROWING :( It was all looking ok ... but I'd already contacted the seller about the wrong colouring and was getting an exchange (she had hatched them from eggs from another breeder). Those pointed neck feathers were the earliest sign that all was not girl!!!

    I'd love some opinions on if my silver laced Wyandotte is a pullet?! She (hopefully a she!) is now 9 weeks old ... very little tail feathers, comb showing no signs of redness, bit concerned about the dark neck and if the feathers are pointed or round. Thanks
