Silver-laced Wyandotte pullet or cockerel?
Beautiful little 10 week old. My only SLW in the batch so I have nothing to compare to. We aren’t allowed roosters so I’m hoping it’s a hen but what do you all think? And educate me on how to tell please :)- Lukeia2000

Great thread! I'm currently working on training my klein poodle, Jedi, to accept our baby chicks. He loves to chase small animals: birds, ground squirrels, squirrels, cats... It's been really good for keeping those critters out of our garden beds...but it also means we have our work cut out...- Lukeia2000

Ok, pretty sure I don't see them then, so I'm thinking they're rose combs. Here's a pic of the first feathers coming in if that helps any. When would a single comb show up? If a single comb should be peeking out by now...then they're definitely rose combed. They're 5 days old right now and there isn't any sign of a single comb...and I seem to remember our young RIRs having a single comb peeking out quite young...but I can't...- Lukeia2000
