Okay we are deciding on a duck breed. so far the ones i think might work are Buffs, Cayugas, Blue Swedish and Anconas. We already have muscovies but we'd like another type as well. The qualities we need in the duck are
* Quiet - we live in a neighborhood where neighbors would complain about...
Thanks!
Do you think it would work if i have the male and female scovies and a male and female campbell? And would they also need another cage? And how quiet are the cayugas? Sorry I just want to get all the details before I even start planning on buying them =)
Oh and how are they flying wise? Our muscovies have their wings clipped but it's quite obvious the male wouldnt get far even if his wings weren't clipped.
Okay so, I have two muscovies a drake and duck. We originally had five except we gave two away (which were male) and kept the others. We ended up butchering two males since they were too aggressive. Now the male we have now is getting out of hand. But we really want more ducks. We really don't...
Make sure she's not egg bound. I lost one of my bantams from that If she's swollen, not eating, standing with her eyes closed or it seems like she has bad balance and topples over then she is probably egg bound. Though if it's been two weeks she would have died by now. When the weather changes...
Thank you c:
That must be a pain.
We have five drakes and one duck which is why we have to get rid of a couple drakes. We are giving them to a family of five little girls so I'm a bit cautious since these are my baby drakes I've raised since ducklings =(
Hello! I am so sorry to hear that. I live in a gated - pretty nice - neighborhood myself and we aren't aloud to have chickens. Yet we've had them for 8 years or more. Unfortunately, there is no exact law saying 'you can keep your chickens no matter what.' But you could write back to the home...
