    hello everyone! it devestates me to say last night I lost a chicken due to a raccoon. we believe it was able to open up the cage door and take one (out of 7) of our chickens. we where, however, able to shoot the raccoon in time (sorry if this hurts anyone, but it did kill our sweetest chicken)...

    the first 2 days she was separated from the others until it looked better, but at night she stayed with the others. it may just be because they are still kinda young that they aren’t too aggressive, i’m not sure. but it is very possible that the pecking can be done at night. i recommend...

    I'm glad to here she is ok! And my chickens do the lookout thing when they are about to lay also! I would expect some eggs soon!!!!

    No, I said I won't judge if you eat your chickens. I eat chicken but me personally I could never kill my own chickens. Kinda hypocritical I know :( but I was reading about it and some people said they slam them on the ground and that sounds violent to me, but i don't know.

    My chickens LOVE applesauce, peaches, meal worms, cucumbers, watermelon, honeydew, cantaloupe, and basically and fruit/vegetable!!!
