I have 6 young Barred Plymouth Rock cockerels for sale for $8.00 each. Hatched between April 27th and May 6th of 2012. Will sell two or more at a time. Their father won Best Variety at a show in East Tennessee in the Spring.

That is a VERY valid point. My brooders are in basement and that's all we do down there so there's not much chance of the lamp getting knocked down, but I'm adding wire asap!
They are FANTASTIC!!! I'm very jealous of your girls... Their barring is nice and narrow. Also, does your roo have wider, straight tail feathers that stick straight back? Mine does, and wondered if this is typical. Is there a way to breed this out?
