    Hi Ibuchanan, I bred a large light sussex with a white smaller sized silkie you can kind of see the size difference in the second pic...last pic is the baby squishy at 10 wks :)

    I would say it's a roo as it has saddle feathers and the pointed neck feathers. It may not be crowing because the other rooster is dominant or it could be a late developer. I just got a rooster that's supposed to be 8 months and it doesn't crow but it was in with about 10 other roosters and...

    Update: this is Squishy my Light sussex Roo x white silkie hen It's now 7 weeks old. looks like it's got mums comb, feet and beak colour and a crest, dads feathers and feather colours and size

    Hi, I had a mineral block for chooks but they never used it and walked on it till it disintegrated. the food I give them has shell grit. how does the calcium stuff come? none of the other chooks seem to be having this problem, maybe she doesn't like the shells?

    I am not supposed to have a rooster but have a rooster collar on him so he is quiet so neighbours haven't complained Here are some pics Not sure the pics are all going to come up if not I will post more when on my laptop tomorrow only on phone at the moment.
