Mine are covered with tarps & plastic on top of coop & housing. They have plenty of perches( I found bamboo for winter perches),fescue hay also works well for mine( but it can be pricy).Good luck!
I raised my peeps with fescue hay & changed it out every other day! I had eighteen of them in a 100 gal aquarium with screen top/ heat lamp on one side, they are now healthy & happy, eggs very soon! Good luck.
I wrap my housing with plastic( home Depot) just the housing. Put small holes for ventalation. Leave door uncovered of course. I use fescue hay for bedding. If able you can run a heating pad( where they can't peck it) on low, under the nesting box, make sure heating pad is not exposed! Good luck!
Not sure, but if the wing feathets
If wing feathers Are even- male longer & shorter feathers - female. When u stretch the wing out, chicken farmer told me this??
Try putting golf balls under them when u pull the eggs, this works for me! Put 1 golf ball for 1 egg. Hope this helps! Good luck! I think buffies are the sweetest so far! Mine loves to be held & petted!
