    Araucana rooster needs new home

I was accidentally sent a rooster who was supposed to be a she. I was going to keep him but he is systematically ripping all of the feathers of my girls and making them bleed once the feathers are gone so he has to go. I bought chicken saddles but he still rips feathers off their head and neck...

    Araucana thread anyone?

It was a mistake that I ended up with one male and female. They were supposed to both be females. Anyway now I have one tufted male white with black mixed in and one untufted female who is a golden duck wing. Just curious if anyone could guess what would be the dominant color if i hatched chicks...

    Araucana Question

I have two question, one is whether this Araucana is a hen or cockerel? And two, one of the tuffs kind of flops around when Bird is in motion while the other one is more stationary, is this normal? Will the floppy one ever stop being loose? Thanks!

    Araucana thread anyone?

I apologize that I didn’t answer your question in my first response. One does look like a GDW. I can’t wait to see the blue paint as she grows up. I would love to have a blue or black in my flock but definitely down the road. Good Luck with your new young chicks!

    Araucana thread anyone?

Adorable! I have two of Ann Charles Araucana pullets. One GDW and one new color she is developing called Blue Paint, mostly white. I am still trying to integrate them into my 10week old flock. The blue paint acts like a Roo. Chasing everyone around. Aww you make me want chicks again!

Rooster to good home Ameraucana or Easter Egger

One of my Hill Country Feed Store chickens that is roughly 10 weeks old has revealed to be a rooster. He is a very docile and very red. He was sold to me as an Ameraucana but as I am reading that this breed is regularly misrepresented as such I would assume he is an Easter Egger. He is just...

They are already in the hen house. It is so warm here that I was able to put them outside almost immediately. Is this your first go at raising chickens?

Hello, My name is Lynne and I am new to keeping chickens

Right now I have a store bought coop but it is only a temporary coop. I am trying to figure out what type of coop I want to invest in for my girls. Then I will try to build it but I don’t think that will be before fall. Good to know about the contest.
