she just passed away. Her sister is fine. I'm not sure what happened, it happened really fast. I couldn't save her and I'm quite upset because she was a pet. Should I take her sister to the vet in case it's something contagious? I'm not sure what to do
Update: Her head seems to be stuck looking to the left? I'm unsure of if it's wry neck or not but I'm going to give her some vitamins. My sister thinks maybe her larger sister trampled her.. but I'm unsure. I'll make another update in the morning.
Hello again.
I'm worried about one of my chicks. Her name is Honey. We got her a few weeks ago to replace Robin's sister, who ended up being surrendered because I didn't have the money or supplies to care for her and she was showing strange symptoms and seemed to not be getting better. That...
thank you!! I'll be sure to do that. Good to know that she is fine. I think the rest of my family is just very worried. They want to make sure she's ok.
Yes. They are clear, both look the same, her pupils dilate a little when you shine a light in them. She doesn't seem interested enough to track or focus on anything other than shiny lights or food.. I will try again tomorrow morning. I also will be posting pictures and videos to this thread
Hello! I'm having an issue with one of my two chicks. Seems to be vision, perception, or balance.. possibly neurological..?
I would've bought more than two for this batch, but we are within city limits and we could only get 2 more. I already have 8 chickens.. 5 Adults, 3 Pullets, and the 2...
Hello everyone. It has been hot outside lately, around 70°-85°, which my chickens are usually fine dealing with because they have shade, water, and a fan. I also spray the ground with cold water every day when it's the hottest to give them something to do and also help cool them down. About two...
They aren't moving at all, so it doesn't seem to be tapeworms. I'm going to keep observing them though, and see if their behaviour changes within the next couple of days. Thank you!
Hello everyone. Yesterday I went out to check on my ladies, as I always do, and noticed an odd looking pile of droppings. It was filled with tiny, orange lumps in it. Everything else looked normal. After further investigation, I realized all five of my adult hens were leaving these...
It is placed beside my door, in one of the corners of my room. I can't really move it much, since my room is quite small. The brooder is a 40 gallon tub I got on sale from tractor supply. I will try to find a way to lift the heat lamp as soon as possible to see if that resolves the issue.
