    either started bleeding or had never stopped. We held pressure until it stopped and cleaned it. I'm not sure about air but there is something causing it to feel raised. Unfortunately it's already smells which concerns me. Taking her into the vet in the morning just to be on the safe side.

    Hi! Just out with my chickens when I noticed a bulge on my chicken's back. Further inspection under the feathers and I found this clump? Not sure what to make of it. She's letting me touch it and she's not acting out of character. Anyone know what I'm dealing with? Thanks!

    I didn't even notice the eyes! But you're completely right. I'll look into that. Her sister died from a respiratory illness at a few weeks old so it wouldn't surprise me. They are meek! This is my first experience with this breed. We love her anyway though. Thanks for the advice!
