    Do I have a Roo?

Looks like a hen to me - an Easter Egger.

New Hampshire Chick - Pullet or Cockrel?

Wow, I would have thought that was a rooster too! You must be so glad you didn't give her away.

    Do Cochin Roosters Crow?

I had a cochin rooster that I gave away when he was 14 weeks old. He did not have a full crow at that time, but he was starting to make some loud noises in the coop at 6:00 a.m. It was more like a "caw" than anything else, but it was loud. Since I didn't want to alienate my neighbors, I...

WOOT WOOT, HOORAY, OH HAPPY DAY! First Egg Today

Yay! Can't wait to get my first egg. My oldest "girls" are 17 weeks today; I keep checking the nest boxes!

    The integration process has begun!

That sounds so sweet! I wish you continued good luck with your integration. I hope I can say the same when I start letting my two flocks mingle in a few weeks.

First Night out in Coop and now out with Big Chickens!

Glad it's working out so well. I have a flock of 10 who are almost 9 weeks old (living in my garage) and a flock of 5 who are almost 15 weeks old (living in the coop). I've been introducing them slowly (separated by hardware cloth) during the day and will try to fully integrate them by the end...

    Don't think she's really a Black Australorp

My guess is that she is a Minorca. I don't have that breed but her description seems to fit what a Minorca would look like.

I'm not sure who I am....

They look like Red Sex-linked chickens to me. I have two of them from My Pet Chicken - a 14-week old and an 8- week old. Depending on the hatchery, they can be called different names - Red Stars, Golden Comets, etc. I've heard they can start laying around 16 weeks or so.

    New from Massachusetts

Welcome from a fellow New Englander. I'm new to chickens too. We have five pullets that are 14 weeks old and ten pullets that are 8 weeks old. Hopefully, we will be getting our first egg in a few weeks!

    Snake ate my chicken

Oh that's awful! How old are the baby chicks?

Stupid problem I didn't foresee (even though I should have)

Here's another vote for spaying your dog. Seven years old sounds a little too old to be breeding her. She sounds like a great dog, but there are so many homeless dogs and cats in shelters that are looking for their forever homes. Good luck with whatever you decide to do.

    What am I pics?

Definitely not a barred rock. Could it be a partridge rock? I'm not sure about the silkie. I have a silkie that I think is supposed to be a partridge, but seems more like a red or buff color (at 8 weeks).

Is this Bantam Silkie a Hen or a Rooster?

    I agree that it's a boy.

Thank you for clearing that up for me!
