I make up a salad for my flock. Usually cabbage, cukes, grapes, and bologna. In the morning I fill a bowl with it. I'd make a big batch for the week. I'd find towards the end it would have a lot of water in the bottom from the veggies. By accident I found by adding cracked corn to it the 'salad'...

Hi, as you can see from my posting, (this is #2), I'm a chicken newbie. I was thinking about some stone dust around the perimeter and inside/outside the doors. Thought it may serve two purposes... help keep things from getting muddy + give the chickens some grit. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
Wow what a story. My rooster Elvis, a Silver Campine, was attacked by a Norther Harrior a month ago. Was in critical condition but I nursed him back to health, although he is blind in his right eye from the attack. Same story, thought is was ok to free range while I was there.
