    Very good question! I know they were free range but they went into the coop at night. I would think someone would have noticed how bad they are. Maybe I did because I sit in the coop-yard with them. I want them to get used to me.

    Thanks all! I'll try the Vaseline first. I'm afraid if I put coconut oil on the legs the others will pick at it.

    Hi everyone. I recently adopted my chicks from my son because he's moving. I noticed that one, I call her Gracie, has bumps and crusty legs. Is this normal? I'm not sure how old she is, could it be due to her age? Help! It really does look like their infected and they look sore. I feel so...
