    Dissing? I don't MAUL mine but I do frequently health check them to make sure girls are OK. It's not very enjoyable chasing down a Wyandotte to do a health check.

    Bought the poultry fountain two months ago. Have seven hens that go through three gal in about 4 days. Water does not freeze. Easy to fill in sink. Make sure rubber stopper is installed properly. Loose about 1 pint of water when turning over, no big deal. All in all I'd give it a 8 out of 10.

    Welcome to the wonderful world of chicks. My hatchery said the minimums are based on outside temperature and the final destination. I would call your hatchery and ask them what was their criteria. Have fun.

    Dandelions

    Got the same "problem". Can't go near run without a fistful of dandelion leaves. Hate to see what they would do to the flowers. I have 7 Golden Comets, sex link, one of them has started laying at 13 weeks. Small eggs now but I wonder if extra greens is doing it.
