    Just want to say thanks everyone for the help with the brooder. I was able to get the girls settled in to a safe and secure brooder. They seem happy although way more skittish than my silkies. The silkies would hop into my hand when I put it in the enclosure these Buffs run the other way...

    So my silkies didn't make it. My dog chewed up the box they were using a brooder and well... I'm not sure what the heck happened. Maybe they died of freight or a draft. They didn't have any marks on them and the only reason I know the dog got at the brooder was the dog sized hole in the wall...

    Are you seeing any signs of rust on the Hardware Cloth that is on the ground? Did you use the coated stuff?
