    For the first time in my 50 odd years of caring for chicks, I had a case of coccidiosis. It was also the first time I'd ever used Dumor chick starter. I lost 5 of the 10 chicks affected.

    Why is my hen burying her egg under the nesting materials?

    Mine are burying for the first time ever! I think its because they're being disturbed more often than they are accustomed to. We're building new duck runs, grower pens and rabbit hutches. I've been going in and out several times a day instead of 1 time per usual. Hoping it stops once we are thru.
