    My Egg's Are Hatching!!!!

    Today is day 21. Our eggs are hatching. We have two so far. We have Americanas, Red production, Australorp, Red Pyle Bantys, White sex link. So excited! This is our first time hatching in an incubator. We will have baby ducks hatching next week.

    All of mine are a dark yellow/orange also. They taste so much better than store bought eggs. I think this is normal for "backyard chickens".

    When I got home from work yesterday afternoon, there were 10 more showed up. Poor things all frightened and scared to death. So 28 out of 70 survived. We will be leaving them in the coop while we are at work. Will let them out when we are at home and can watch them.

    favorite hatcheries???

    We ordered 12 hens from Ideal Poultry here in Texas. We are very pleased. They put roosters in the box for warmth.
