    Chick with broken/sprained/slipped tendon needs help

    for the water issue use a q tip soaked in electrolyte water if you dont have the powder i will use something like gatorade (sugar free). then you press the tip gently on the side of its beak near the base. eventually they start sorta nibbling the tip to press the water out themselves.

    i think i will see if anyone can assist but if i cannot find anyone i will most likely try with a dremel. His spurs are impressive as he is an old originally wild gamefowl who adopted us when he found my hens. He trusts us and i wouldnt want to injure him and break the trust we built.

    Vet wrap did the trick for mine (slipped tendon) i let her learn to walk with that. its less scary than elastic bands for circulation. within a week she was walking next to normal. now 5 months old she gets around just fine. I never had the experience of a broken leg though.

    Dog ate some layer pellet/scratch mix....

    My pomeranian Chihuahua mix loves sneaking some. We can always tell when he gets into it because his hair gets silky soft everytime. Maybe a coincidence but everytime he does his hair looks brushed and silky. go figure.
