They may be growing slower due to the heat. I don't usually raise them in the heat of summer here, they don't handle it well. You should be fine getting them to size it may just take a week or 2 longer.
I use shrink bags to package them. This forum has a lot of information about that. I rest them already packaged in the bags but some people do it differently.
Maybe late now but I have seen the bedding in my brooder be the cause of wet chicks.
Sometimes they will kick the bedding up into the waterer edge and then a wicking action through the wood chips or paper can drain the waterer into the bedding. I caught it quick in my brooder but it still...
Why in the F would you post that? Nobody cares what you choose to eat or not to eat. This is the meat birds forum, if your a vegetarian why even look here?
