    how long do baby chicks need to be under lights?

    I just got my first set of 3 brown chicks today they are just two days old I was wondering how long they need to be under the lights before I can move them outside to their coop any help is totally appreciated at this time

    citronella plants

    I was just at the plant store today and asked about plants that keep flies and bugs away from my garden, dogs and cats (don't have my chicks yet so didn't think of asking about them). He suggested rosemary and cat grass.

    Thank u all for the warm welcomes! There are two breeds to choose from at the moment I can't remember the breeds. But getting them as chicks and I hope I make a good mom. Thanks again!

    Hello, New to the site, and will be a new hen mom in about two weeks or so. Really excited. Had a chicken that adopted us one morning and had her for years before she passed away. Didn't know much about raising them back then. Didn't raise her for eggs just for a companion, and she was awesome...
