Oh I have rhode island reds..lol I didn't know they were in the shot. The two roos had a really agressive fight the other day. I'm sad that it seems they are roos. they haven't crowed yet, and that fight was the first I'd seen from them. Hoping they don't try to fight my top roo.
Yes,they do peck each other.Especially when they are going to bed. I recently had3 roosters, but I gave 2away yesterday so maybe the pecking will ease up.
[/IMG]I'M curious about avian pox!.One of my hens haa grown a black scab on her beak.My rooster has black scabson his comb. What is the vaccination? My local vet wouldn't do it.
i bought 5 brown leghorns the other day an the boys started acting different. This is a new one. What is he doing? Hes making a repetive noise. It's low.I'm not good at describing noises. One of the laying hens was in there too.
Yea sounds like you did get lucky. I have read so much negative things about having more than one rooster with only a handful of hens. Maybe I'll get lucky too. :)
I do want to let them breed eventually, I I can tell my lakenvelder is more aggressive and really curious, my andalusians are more calm but I have one that will fight off the other two roosters if they start crap with each other. the lakenvelder likes to challenge all of them females and ducks...
I have 2 blue andalusians, and 1 golden lakenvelder. I have been watching them to see how they are overall. What should I look for when choosing which one I will keep. I only have 8 girls so I only need one rooster. Which breed is the best?
