Straw in the run, when it gets wet molds quickly. I too have a run that gets wet, and dirt floor. In the winter I put rippled plastic around the run to hold some heat in and protect from cold winds but summer makes it an oven if left up. In one side in summer I put up an awning. It keeps a lot...
Yes, I understand. She was still walking around when I found it was her, though a bit of a limp. In the carrier, she doesn't have room to move around and it's night so she'll be off it at least til morning. I'll see then if she bleed anymore. She's quiet and off to sleep for now.
Oh wonderful! She's 8 months old, very adaptable I've found and I didn't want her to get use to the house if I didn't have to. Makes hit harder to reintegrate them. Thank you so much for your help!!

In the spring, I'll start another small flock, not hybrids this time. And maybe a duel purpose bird too. Of the 12 I started with...Joey went to a new home, Red, Goldie and Molt all got egg bound after their first molt. Sad!
I thought it was just my girls....molting---some yes, led light---well of course, but last year no slow down at all. Was an egg a day from everyone. Ahh the good old days.
