Thank you everyone for all the different tips!! I appreciate it. To answer a couple questions: The rooster in the picture is 4 months old. No I’ve never dewormed him so that hypothesis on the weird wing feathers is out lol. I used to put a large tray under their food dishes to catch what...

I use stainless steel dog dishes for their feed. They tip them over way less than the other feeder I was using. They get organic all poultry feed. Scraps, and free range throughout the day.

    Questions, questions, questions.

First off: Is this chickens wing a cause for concern? It’s just on one side and none of my others have it. Also, is he actually a rooster like I suspect? Respiratory illness?

Thanks! I’ve raised 4 other breeds of ducks before but never Pekins. They’ve been a lot different so far. Do you happen to have any recommendations for how to further strengthen their legs? To me they seem to sit or lean on their “elbows” a lot more often than my previous ducks.

    Respiratory illness?

Organic duck starter feed supplemented with nutritional yeast for extra niacin. Someone was telling me to only do the starter feed for 2-3 weeks and then switch to lower protein food to help keep extra weight off their legs? (If not raising them as meat birds, which I’m not.) The inside temp...

    Respiratory illness?

Hello, I purchased 3 Pekin ducklings from tractor supply a week ago and they seem to be showing signs of respiratory illness. 2 of the 3 have slime coming out of their mouth on and off and also sound nasally on and off. All 3 have exhibited labored breathing/panting. I feel like I’m having a...
