    Don't try to get too fancy with the worming protocol. If you use piperazine, you can continue to eat the eggs. Chicken Zoo was right about the Ivomec. If no piperazine, try liberal amounts of Diatomaceous Earth topdressed on the feed. Takes a little longer but is very safe.Worm them every 60-90...

    It does sound like Coryza. Use the Tylan 50. Isolate the sick ones and treat all the birds. This is a highly contagious disease( if it is Coryza). Do not allow visitors to your pens or visit other producers until this situation passes. Submitting one to a lab/vet would also be a good idea. FWIW...

    Don't worry!!! The hen did know she laid an egg. It is called clutching. It is the last egg in a wave or series. She will lay normal eggs again. This is very common in aged(3-5 yr) hens. Used to collect them from rare breed bantam hens. Sign the well may be going dry. Sort of like menopause...

    No good prognosis with an exposed navel. Try dipping in iodine and trying to keep clean. Hard to do I know. I hate to say but I would guess it will live 3-5 days. Good luck!!! Marcel

    In juveniles the scales will return to normal. In aged birds(old roosters) they may stay raised the rest of their life. Treatment is inexpensive( motor oil/cooking oil) so treat repeatedly(say 30 days) and they will normalize faster. FWIW,regards Marcel
