    You need to get a tetanus shot. It would be great if you could catch it and keep it caged for 10 days to make sure there is no sign of sickness.

    I have a hen that has decided she wants to sit on eggs today. I got 2 eggs from under her because I want to wait a few days until I let her sit. My question is: She has been on these 2 eggs today, not sure exactly how long but I collect in the evenings. Have these eggs already started...

    Wow, I don't have a hen setting, but it's been in the mid 80's here. Could that temp cause that?

    Backyard Brahmas!!

    I just candled my 23 eggs (7 days in) and I could see 11 with movement I saw 3 that are not fertile, and the others I can see veins but was unable to movement This is so exciting.

    A friend of mine (lives a couple hours away) sent them to me. There doesn't seem to be anyone close to me (Western NC) that has any. I am not sure of the line that he has, but they are beauties.

    I am supper excited!!! I have just added 23 Dark Brahmas to the incubatorI am hoping for a wonderful hatch. I am new to this breed and can't wait to see the littles running around.

    I am overly excited!!! I have just added 23 Dark Brahma eggs to the incubator. I have never had this breed before and doesn't seem like anyone in my area has these either. Hoping for a great hatch :)

    I am so looking forward to getting some fertile Light Brahma eggs in a week :) Hopefully my hatch will go good. This will be my second attempt in using a incubator. 1st attempt wasn't so good, so hopefully the things that I had learned will make this attempt successful.
