I live in Hammond and recently got 12 all pullets from the hatchery and oops, one of them is a rooster. Glad to know that I don't have to get rid of him.
I think they are and if you look at my photos at 10 weeks, it's amazing how much they have changed. I definitely think #1 Dottie is a pullet and I'm pulling for #2 Agatha. Thank you!
At 13 weeks, I think you may be right. I have update the pictures but probably should have started a new post. Would you mind looking at them and letting me know what you think now? Thanks!
UPDATE: Now the SLW's are 10 weeks old. I have two and I can't tell whether they are cockerels or pullets. What do ya'll think?
This is Dottie
This is Agatha.
Cockerels or Pullets? Thanks!!!
I ordered 11 from Ideal Poultry and took delivery October 17. I ordered SLW, Buff Orpington, 4 Choice, EE. Service was fine. One of the EE didn't make it but I don't think the had anything to do with Ideal.
UPDATE: Now the SLW's are 10 weeks old. I have two and I can't tell whether they are cockerels or pullets. What do ya'll think?
This is Dottie
#2 is Agatha.
This is a 7 week old Silver Laced Wyandotte that looks sneakily like a little boy. He also acts like a boy...frenetic and not cuddly at all. He was also facing off with the other little roo that you guys helped me "diagnose" a couple of weeks ago. OK, tell me what you think! Thanks, Melissa
So I checked her crop and she has nothing in it. She was eating earlier and drinking water but it feels like her spine is deformed and almost as if she doesn't have a crop (that's how empty it was).
