Hi everyone, I have a problem with my silkie frizzle Roo LuvRBoy. he hasn't been walking much. just noticed it last night. his tail feathers are down. So far I have given him poultry boost, and nutra drench and sequestered him. does anybody have any thoughts for me? I love this guy. he has...
Results of the first double. Had to help it hatch. It was strong. I let it try for about 24 hours before it looked like it needed a little bit of help, I saved one of the two the other one didn't develop. It's in the incubator now. Not sure if it will survive but fingers crossed!
Hemp is my favorite too. I've tried all different things in the brooder and everything is just so hard to clean but the hemp absorbs better and keeps their feet cleaner, if that's possible lol, and they seem to love digging through it. It it's smaller than pine shaving so it doesn't get stuck on...
Hey Kelly, I know this is 5 years old So not sure if you're even on here anymore but I just laid my first round of silkie Easter Egger cross chicks and they are absolutely adorable! I also have one golden laced Polish crested in the mix and have a few of those babies. My Easter Eggers are...
She laid another one! What's going on! The first is still looking okay in the incubator. I think they're both alive so far but the green egg makes it hard to see.
I read all through the threads here and couldn't find one that is like mine where they told us results....so I'm posting my own. here are some on pictures of my Piper's EE Frizzle (Dad is dashing Tall Fluffy Silkie) double. This is day 9. Do I continue? Do I cull? They are in an incubator with...
Hi, I have mostly silkie frizzle satins and silkie smooths in my flock and this one just appeared out of one of the eggs. I have no idea where it came from as far as its mom and dad. It is about 10 weeks old I've heard that sometimes genes will skip a generation. I do have one Easter egger...

Hi, I have a question about my 3 Roos. I'm done breeding for the season and would like to give my hens a break. Some of my hens have bald shoulders and balding backs and I've had to buy saddles for a few. Each Roo has it's own flock, they are small flocks of four or five hens. I plan on keeping...
I know I posted this thread a while ago. Since then I've had several phone calls of others who have bought from her and have gotten sick chicks as well. It's just the saddest situation. Please if there is anybody else out there please please turn her in. She has to stop doing what she's doing...
This is such a great post! Thanks so much for asking! Thanks so much for asking the question! I have a mom sitting with seven babies. They are all about 4 weeks old and she's getting the itch to go back to the flock. My question would be once she's ready to go back to the flock, how do you...
