My name is Page and my husband and I have been keeping chickens for a little over three years now. We live in a small town in East/Central Kentucky on a small cattle farm.
Due to the tragic loss of our first flock to a fox, we haven't had any chickens for over a year. Now since our hearts have healed from the loss of our precious pets, we are finally ready for a new flock. We will be ordering a whole new flock this spring after a quick coop revamp. I will keep those who are interested posted on both the coop revamp and the new chicks.
A little about us, we have three dogs, a cat, and several fish tanks. My husband says I have an animal problem lol which is probably true. Some of my other hobbies include gardening, reading, baking/cooking, and learning about homesteading and self-sustainability.
I look forward to meeting others with similar hobbies as myself, please feel free to message me, even if it's just to say hi or to talk about similar hobbies. I guess that's enough for now, thanks for checking out my profile page and have a blessed day!
**Edit**
We have chicks! My mother is a kindergarten teacher and she and the other teachers hatch out chicks for the kiddos every year and my husband and I took he chicks off there hands. We have twelve all-together, I'm suspecting half of which are males. We plan on raising the hens and butchering the males when the reach the right size. We are so excited to be on this journey again, now time for some good old hard work building are new coop! Pictures will be posted soon!
