Living quarter ideas for my ducklings...?

My tub will definitely need a good scrub down with some oxyclean before I ever use it again!

Living quarter ideas for my ducklings...?

No garage. We have a storage shed that we keep our tools and snowmobiles in, I went to IFA today and looked at stock tanks. I think we're gonna put one of those in the shed with a heat lamp. I'm just not sure how I'm going to provide them water to play in while they're in the shed. Once all...

Living quarter ideas for my ducklings...?

I have chicks and chickens, but I'm new to ducks. We have 3 ducklings who are currently 2 weeks old. At one week I had to move them from a large plastic storage bin to mine and my husbands bath tub. So far it's worked out great! I laid puppy pads along the bottom of the tub, makes majority of...

    pet duck

I am new to ducks, but we just recently got 3 ducklings to add to our flock of 17 chickens. After just one week, I already had to move them from a large plastic storage bin to mine and my husband's large bath tub. I found it was not only much more roomie for them but easier for me to keep clean...

    Treating ducklings for coccidiosis, help!

I've heard and read you usually will lose at least one, and fortunately, so far I haven't lost any more than that every time I get a few. This is also my first year doing ducklings. We got 17 chickens last year, and ducks are a lot more work that chicks, that's for sure! I will have to pick up...

    Treating ducklings for coccidiosis, help!

I truly have no idea what really killed her. The other two are growing and doing great! After further research, I think it was duck virus hepatitis. But I'm not positive. I found one of my year old barred rocks dead inside their coop yesterday morning.

    Treating ducklings for coccidiosis, help!

Aw, I'm sorry you lost one too. I switched from pine shavings to towels as well. After further research, I think my duckling might have died from Duck Virus Hepatitis, I found her in that "arched backward" position. The night before, I would hold her and her head would drop forward and dangle...

    Treating ducklings for coccidiosis, help!

Thank you, that's very helpful. Unfortunately, our sick duckling was found dead this morning. It all happened really fast, she got sick and died all within like 24 hours. I'm not sure exactly what she had, but I read about Aspergillosis (respiratory infection). What's your knowledge about that?

    Treating ducklings for coccidiosis, help!

I don't have a kitchen scale. :( If I wanted to treat all 3, by mixing meds with their water, do you have a measurement for that, this is their waterer.

    Treating ducklings for coccidiosis, help!

Last week I got 4 new chicks and 3 ducklings. Last year I had a chick die from coccidiosis. I'm new to ducklings this year, but it appears one of my ducklings might have coccidiosis, (groggy, stumbling, hardly walking, unable to hold its head up when sleeping, and sleeping with its eyes open). I...
