    Urgent! Leg injury

Hii! I’m sorry to be asking. This quail, I thought it wasn’t going to make it. It was the only yellow colored quail I got, so from birth I wanted to help it make it. However, he used to fall sideways all the time when first hatched and I thought it would pass. Well it’s two weeks old now. But...

    Mourning my male quail 😞

Thank you, the coop does have the hardware cloth… I’m thinking about maybe adding an extra layer, because he goes straight there everytime we let him out and it makes me nervous. I will look into long leashes to see if I can try the leashing method, so that he stops scaring the birds

    Mourning my male quail 😞

Two days ago I found a scalped male on the cage with only males i separated two weeks ago. Thinking my oldest quail was the culprit I isolated him and the scalped quail to heal. The next day another scalped quail. At this point I was like who tf. So I took the quail out and only one quail was...

Hours old baby quail’s head strength disease?

I do have a thermometer and an extra one inside of the incubator. But I don’t think I have a salt tested humidity thingy

Hours old baby quail’s head strength disease?

They were shipped eggs. I originally had 14 but I tossed 7 because some were cracked and others didn’t grow the first 3 days of incubation. The rest made it until the end but one died in shell, I checked inside and it’s peak was deformed. So 6 remained. And all other siblings are doing okay...

Hours old baby quail’s head strength disease?

I hatched 6 eggs, the 7th one had a peak deformity and I just realized another one of the quails has an issue. He or she can’t keep a balanced head. It still eats and drinks when it can but it has no control of its head. It’s very sad to see. That’s why I put it back in the incubator by itself...

    Incubation Death diagnosis…

Out of 7 eggs one didn’t peep or wiggle. When opening the egg for diagnosis I found a dead chick with an underbite… does anybody know what went wrong? Or is it genetics? They’re shipped eggs. Pictures below 👇

    Hello! I’m new here 🐣🥳❤️

    1) Are you new to chickens / when did you first get chickens? I incubated 2 quails in 2019 for the first time. Now I’m back to it. I successfully hatched 7 quails so far out of 10 and I’m at the second batch it looks like 6 out of 7 will make it. (2) How many chickens do you have right now? 4...

    Chick pipped/rocked mysterious death

Thank you for answering either way ❤️ it was more of a curious about what could have caused the deaths post. Since then 1 of my 7 passed, unsure of why, it seemed to have happened as he was sleeping one night 🥺

    Chick pipped/rocked mysterious death

I was hatching quails… on day 15 I started to see them rocking. On day 16 still rocking then started peeping. On day 17 rocking and peeping through the egg. But nobody made it out. I got nervous so I started to make safety holes on the air sack. I couldn’t hear any of them chirping. Day 18 they...
