    My Flock

Thanks for looking everyone! The green beard on the EE (Edith) is because she's dirty - she also has cottage cheese all over her beak! My husband designed and built the coop, which he's very proud of.

Beautiful flock you have! The second to last picture looks just like one of my girls. she was "supposed" to be a New Hampshire Red. Do you have any idea what yours is?

First night in the coop... Is there always this amount of drama?

Pre-molt my girls all went to bed just fine. Now they have to fuss about who roosts where. And to think chickens survived back in the day without us putting them to bed at night! LOL!

Is this normal or does my hen just really "like" me?

My girls must be little hussies cuz they will squat for just about anybody!

    AAAAHHHHH!!!!! Roosting is SOOO stressfull!!

My girls have always gotten along until they started their molt about a month ago. Now, my sweetest easter egger is at the bottom of the pecking order and has started roosting in between the nesting boxes. We move her on to the roost, go back out and check and she's moved back to the boxes...

    Are your chickens this chicken?

Our four spent their first few months in the garage where my husband was building their coop, so they were completely unfazed by the loud power tools. Him blowing his nose is a different story - even after a year and a half of hearing him do it (think foghorn) they still squawk and flap around...
